x - England ?+ Publication of Peter Langtoft's "Chronicle," which updates Geoffrey of Monmouth's "History" through Edward I's reign. In it he praises Arthur as the greatest of kings.
x - Mansa Musad.1337, Mali's greatest ruler, succeeded to the throne. He commissioned grand mosques.
oct 13 - Members of the Knights of Templar + are arrested throughout France, imprisoned and tortured by the order of the King Philip the Fair of France.

may 01 - King Albert of Austria was murdered by his nephew John, because he refused his share of the Habsburg lands.

x - Hospitallers' headquarters moved from Cyprus to Rhodes
nov 28 - Paris Trial of Jacques de Molay, Grand Master of the Templars.

x - Eye glasses were being mass produced in Venice.
x - England ?+ Barons force Edward II to appoint lords ordainers to help him rule
x - England Parliament rules taxation shall be imposed only by Parliament
may 12 - Fifty-four Knights Templars + were burned at the stake as heretics in France.They had been established during the Crusades to protect pilgrims travelling to the Holy Land, but came into increasing conflict with Rome until officially dissolved in 1312 at the Council of Vienna.

jun 21 - Battle of Bannockburn assures independence of Scotland.30,000 Scotsmen under Robert the Bruce + Descendants of Robert I CD-ROM rout 100,000 led by Edward II.
jun 24 - King Robert I of Scotland + Descendants of Robert I CD-ROM with 6,000 men and 500 horses routed English King Edward II with his army of 20,000 at Bannockburn. he thus secured Scotland's independence from England.
